Which of the following is NOT an example of a WAN?
a computer at a bank’s main branch connected with a LAN at the bank’s branch office across town
a LAN at the main university campus connected with a LAN at the university extension site
LANs connected in a single building
the computers in a lab at your school connected to the computers in a lab at another school in your town
This one in definitely not a WAN: “LANs connected in a single building”
because a single building is not a Wide Area. So it is a LAN.
Actually NONE of these 4 example is a WAN.
At best the other 3 are MANs (metropolitan area networks, within a single city).
And yes this does not belong in Programming, it should at least be in the “Computer Networking” subsection.
